Obviously Fidel Castro did care about justice in a particular kind of way and some of the things he did were good. Cuba, however, suffered devastating poverty and lack of advancement under his rule. You just have to look at the number of Cubans that tried to escape to the US and many of them hated life in Cuba so much they would risk dying at sea. At best Castro was a good man who stubbornly tried to enforce poor and unworkable ideas.
